WHAT INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS say About Me

"Without Batting an Eye has a straightforward, comic, and cheeky musical score, that uses every possible trick to point out funny and ridiculous situations of the characters and the plot. It integrates with and emphasizes the dialogue and editing rhythm, and spices up the story."

ABOUTME

Film Composer | Electronic Music Artist

What am I best at?

Directors and producers come to me when they want the audience to feel an explosion of emotions. Every film has endless musical ideas that could take your film to different directions. It is my job to assemble these ideas and create a focus on the right emotions in order to guide that viewer into having an amazing experience.

While our main goal is going to be making the funny scenes funnier, and the drama more dramatic, we'll give your project it's own original voice and create unique sound signature, using a perfect mix of ambient, texture, melody, and harmony, using anything from electronic synths to live orchestra.

How does working with me look like?

There isn't one way to create music for films, and that definitely applies to my workflow in the studio. Getting a singer to scream at the microphone and create a melody of desperate prayers, or using morse code to present a teenage girl's journey in the deep sea are just some of the creative ideas I used in the process of unlocking a the right sound and texture.

These ideas usually come from conversations we're going to have about the story, elements from the film's world, and other details that could guide us towards finding the heart of the music - like what are the characters feeling and how can we help the the audience connect more deeply with a character.

If you've used any visual or auditory ideas to guide you through the making of the film - we'll use your vision and language to make the music communicate with your ideas and enhance them. I believe people come to the movie theatre for the experience, and I want to give them something they can feel in every part of their body.
