WHAT INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS SAY

"Without Batting an Eye has a straightforward, comic, and cheeky musical score, that uses every possible trick to point out funny and ridiculous situations of the characters and the plot. It integrates with and emphasizes the dialogue and editing rhythm, and spices up the story."

"Reflection's music adds a magnetic intensity to the film. It is an essential layer that gives power and meaning to the film."

"Sapir Matityahu is someone to learn from, Someone brave that isn't afraid to experiment and release a song that is so special and so emotionally complex. Someone who created this amazing music production all by herself. Someone who kicks a man right in the center and then releases it to the radio as a single. All that weight in the ears. If I had a hat, I would take it off to her. In the meantime, I only have words, and they're not enough to tell her how much I appreciate her."

BENOAM MUSIC BLOG | NOAM NAYSHOOL

"Sapir Matityahu punched me right in the stomach and had taken me by her charms 3 seconds into the song. Shakranit, Matityahu's debut single, is an exciting display of a doleful and elegant electronic-music with intelligent and fascinating lyrics."

INSPECTOR'S REPORT | CULTURE CLUB

"Sapir's lyrics and sound qualities remind me of Efrat Ben-Tzur's solo albums, and just like I dived into Ben-Tzur's music, I jumped right into Sapir's waters and allowed her lyrics and sounds carry me away."

The spotting session is when a director and composer get together to watch the film and decide where the music is going to be and what it's going to do. This occurs before the composer starts writing the music. People present should be the director, the composer, the music editor and perhaps the producer.

BIO

Sapir Matityahu is a film composer and an electronic music artist. She was born in Jerusalem in 1992 (currently located in Los Angeles).

Sapir has created music for Israeli films and released two singles to local radio stations.
Sapir's music has a unique signature sound. She composes films using her Synaesthesia, a phenomenon that connects musical intervals with colors inside her brain. Sapir's music gives a new meaning to color and movements while maintaining the focus on the story.
Sapir has started her musical career as a Funk-Jazz-Rock guitarist. After a few years in a local jazz band, she began her B.F.A studies, majoring music and sound for films at Sapir Academic College.
During her B.F.A studies, she has learned to create musical images using an unconventional recording technique and a unique electronic sound design.
